Andrew Mathers Removals is an incredible company to deal with, I highly recommend it to anyone looking to move.
My partner and I were living and working on a property in the Derwent Valley when we decided to leave this position and move closer up north to family.
The Boss was very unhappy with our decision to leave and told us to get off the property the next day. I rang every removal company in Tasmania but no one was interested in helping us.
When I spoke to Mark from Andrew Mathers Removals it was like speaking to a good friend and he was so willing to help.
Mark and Mark both came out that afternoon and gave us an incredibly reasonable quote to pack the house completely, move it into storage for 6 weeks and deliver it to our new home.
The following day Peter and Rick came to the house to start packing our things. I honestly don’t think you would find two people more polite, respectful, and understanding of our situation.
Peter was so conscientious and kind throughout the day, helping us deal with the stress of the situation. We weren’t exactly prepared for moving and Peter and Rick were so understanding, they left our bedroom and bathroom to last to give us time to pack the things we needed to take with us.
The following day Peter, Rick, and Thomas finished packing the whole house into the removal truck and we all left the house by 5:30 that afternoon.
That was a 3 bedroom, 2 lounge room house quoted, packed, and loaded in under 3 days. A pretty exceptional effort!
We were unsure how long we needed to store our items for but this was not an issue for Kim who managed the invoices, she was incredibly understanding when we needed to add two more weeks of storage onto our original four and every email I received was a pleasure to read.
When it was time to move into our new house Peter, Chris and Pete were there to unload our things, they made sure everything was placed where we wanted and were very careful handling fragile items. Not one thing was broken or misplaced in our move. The Removals staff are an absolute credit to the company in every way, not only are they exceptional at what they do, they are genuinely good people. Kim in the office is thorough and great to deal with and Mark,
Mark and Byron will do everything they can to make your moving experience as stress-free as possible. From me, Alexander, and our families,
we sincerely appreciate everything you did to help us and we will continue to recommend you to anyone and everyone we can.

Just contacted Mark at Mathers AGAIN. This will be the 5th time over 25 years that I have used Mathers.
I will not phone anyone else. I am a medical doctor, now almost retired. Such is my regard for Mathers, whilst I know that they are Hobart based, –
I phoned Mark from Melbourne to request that he organise my removal and long-term storage for me IN Melbourne to an address IN Melbourne.
Which he is now doing. I have had long-term storage (try 2 years worth last time, and 18 months worth before that) twice with Mathers.
Totally intact. Nothing went missing, and the last one delivered to our Melbourne address. Will not trust anyone else. Happy to put my name here. Alistair Lewis.Doctor. From Hobart.
I see some reviews that are bad. I guess that the removal industry is as cut-throat as the towing business with “reviews” from competing firms. And of course,
there will always be a genuine concern aired on Google. But. I know Mathers. You CAN trust them. Mark is as honest as they come – he and his brother Byron.
So now I need to place a 4 bedroom house into storage. Have NO idea how much space I need. Nor for how long. No drama. Mark is sorting it. My work is done.
My wife thinks that I did it all myself and I am very happy about that. MAJOR headache sorted.
